How to replace the blower motor resistor assembly on 2002 Chevrolet Malibu?

Start the blower motor resistor assembly replacement procedure by taking off the right side instrument panel insulator. Pull the electrical connector of the blower motor resistor assembly off its connector position while you unscrew the screws that hold the resistor assembly in place. Unplug the blower motor resistor assembly and remove it from the car. Position the new blower motor resistor assembly before fixing it correctly as noted in the Safety Notice. Secure the assembly using screws and apply 1 N.m torque pressure (9 pound inch). Reconnect the electrical plug to the blower motor resistor before placing back the right side instrument panel insulator.
