  A: Use the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) to position acdelco p/n-1760 A/C Accumulator on the a/c Evaporator tube (liquid line) between condenser and Evaporator and prevent any need to flush the a/c system. The first step involves recovering refrigerant before you raise and support the vehicle. Fender liner removal from the right front allows condenser and Evaporator line end securing with caps and tape to block any contamination. Use rotating motion to remove the Evaporator line bolt at the condenser fitting before discarding the orifice tube stored inside the acdelco p/n-1760. Using a line cutter cut the liquid line at the first marked spot which sits 50 mm (2 in) beyond the first hanger point at intervals of 38 mm (1 1/2 in). Remove all burrs from the cut area. The Evaporator line should be connected to the condenser fitting while the Evaporator hose bolt is installed before tightening it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Take the A/C Accumulator's nuts, ferrules and o-rings from it but refrain from applying the o-rings at this time.
