How to replace the evaporator core on 2002 Chevrolet Malibu?

The process to replace the Evaporator core starts with removing the Heater Core and then removing the Heater Core case shroud. First remove the screw which holds the Evaporator core bracket and afterward take out the Evaporator core. When installing a new Evaporator core the specified amount of refrigerant oil from refrigerant system capacities must be added to it. The Evaporator core installation must follow the fastener notice in service precautions while implementing the process. Reinstall the Evaporator core bracket along with its screws at 1 n.m tension before tightening them to 9 lb in. Fasten the Heater Core case shroud along with its screws and tighten both components to 1 n.m (9 lb in). Finally, reinstall the Heater Core.
