How to replace the blower motor resistor assembly on 2003 Chevrolet Malibu?

The first step to replace the blower motor resistor assembly is to take out the right side instrument panel (IP) insulator. Unplug the electrical connection from the blower motor resistor assembly before taking out its securing screws. Reinstall the new blower motor resistor assembly by fastening it with screws and tightening them to 1 N.m (9 lb in) according to the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Rejoin the electrical connector then put back the right side instrument panel insulator.
