  A: When replacing the cruise control module start by opening the hood to disconnect the cruise control cable tab attached to the throttle body cam . Rotate cam 1/4 open throttle to release the tab . Push the locating fitting inward to free the cable from the throttle bracket . To remove the cruise control cable from the module turn the cable assembly 1/4 turn counterclockwise then detach the cable from the ribbon. Before module removal disconnect the electrical connector from its assembly then unfasten the hinged retaining strap from the bracket above. Mount the module assembly on its bracket before plugging the electrical connector into the module. Reverse-turn the cruise control cable assembly onto the module ribbon before installing the cruise control cable to the module assembly while rotating the cable assembly one-quarter turn clockwise. Guidely feed the cruise control cable tab back to the throttle body cam while positioning the cruise control cable fitting correctly into the throttle body bracket for secure attachment. After completion check the cruise control cable and replace the hood before conducting a diagnostic system check.
