How to replace the cruise control module on Chevrolet Malibu?

In order to replace the cruise control module, open the hood and remove the cruise control cable tab from the throttle body cam by rotating the cam towards 1/4open throttle to remove tab. Then push the locating fitting to allow the cable to be freed from the throttle bracket and cruise control cable is pulled from the module by the turning of the cable assembly 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and then pulling the cable from the ribbon. Unplug the electrical connector from the module assembly and unclip the hinged marketstrap from the bracket at the top of the module before taking the module out off the mounting bracket. For installation, mount the module assembly on the mounting bracket and plug the electrical connector into the module. Install the cruise control cable to the module ribbon and fix it by rotating in a clock wise direction for a 1/4 turn clockwise. Mount the cruise control cable tab back into the throttle body cam with the cruise control cable fitting aligned to throttle body bracket , making sure that it snaps firmly into place . Ultimately, close the hood and a Diagnostic System Check.
