How to replace a speedometer or odometer assembly according to federal law on 2001 Chevrolet Metro?

The federal law states replacement odometer assemblies must have equivalent mileage readings to previous mileages unless devsiting to zero requires a note to display the old reading together with the replacement time on the driver's doorframe. Start by removing the Instrument Cluster through the instrument panel. Through tab pressurization one can detach both cluster lens and bezel assembly from their cluster housing attachment points. Secure the Speedometer to the cluster housing with its four screws before taking out the Speedometer gauge from the cluster housing. Secure the Speedometer gauge into the cluster housing by using the four screws for installation purposes. To complete the installation position both the cluster lens and bezel onto the cluster housing . The Instrument Cluster should be reinstalled into the instrument panel.
