The replacement odometer requires its reading to match the previous odometer's number according to federal regulations unless setting it to zero while placing a notice on the driver's door frame displaying both readings and the replacement date. Start by taking out the Instrument Cluster from the instrument panel then use your fingers to disconnect the cluster lens while freeing the bezel assembly from the cluster housing. You must remove the 4 screws holding the Speedometer unit to the cluster housing followed by taking out the Speedometer gauge from the cluster housing. Secure the Speedometer gauge inside the cluster housing through insertion followed by application of the 4 screws. Reinstall the Instrument Cluster into its panel after reattaching both the bezel and cluster lens onto the cluster housing.
