How to service the turn signal flasher on Chevrolet Metro?

Before working on the turn signal lamp flasher you must turn off the SIR system. To start the process disconnect the SIR system by removing both plastic retainers and the left hinge pillar trim. Lower the junction block by taking out the bolt to get to the turn signal lamp flasher. You remove the turn signal lamp flasher unit when you unplug it from the junction box. Simply place the fresh turn signal lamp flasher into the connection block. Reposition the junction block and fasten it with the bolt. Target torque should be 89 lb in or 10 N.m. Install the left hinge pillar trim back with its 2 plastic retainers after enabling the SIR system.
