  A: The sir system must be deactivated before starting the windshield washer switch replacement. You can access and remove the lower trim cover screw plus the two lower trim cover screws beneath the Steering Wheel by rotating the wheel without removing it from its position. Unscrew and peel away the Steering Column lower trim before removing the Steering Column upper trim cover screw and full plate. When base damage exists you need to swap entire turn signal headlamp and windshield washer unit. Pull the wiper washer switch electrical cable before removing its two screws and switch. Insert the wiper/washer switch onto the Steering Column and hold it with both screws securely. Reattach the wiper/washer electrical connector before installing the upper Steering Column trim and fixing it with its screw. Put on the Steering Column lower trim and fasten it using the three screws before turning on the sir functionality.
