2001 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 Motor And Transmission Mount Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the Motor and Transmission Mount on a 4L60-E automatic transmission on 2001 Chevrolet Suburban 1500?
A: Transporting the 4l60-e automatic transmission begins with properly supporting the vehicle while it is lifted in the air. First support the transmission using a transmission jack and remove the two bolts holding the transmission mount to the transmission support. Lift the transmission above its position on support while removing the bolts before pulling out the mount. Install the transmission mount into position then secure it with bolts that connect to the transmission for 2wd vehicles or transfer case adapter for 4wd models. Tighten all bolts to 47 nm (35 ft. Lbs.) when working on 4wd vehicles but use 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) torque when dealing with 2wd vehicles. Secure the mounting mount to its transmission support with two nuts while applying 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.) of torque. Lower the vehicle by first removing the transmission jack.
