Start by securely lifting and supporting the vehicle before continuing with the 4l80-e automatic transmission transmission mount replacement. Set the transmission on a transmission jack before removing the two transmission mount nuts that hold the mount to the transmission support. Lift the transmission off its support while removing the bolts so you can extract the transmission mount. The installation begins with proper positioning of the transmission mount followed by connecting the bolts to hold it in place both to the transmission in 2wd vehicles or transfer case adapter in 4wd vehicles. For 4wd vehicles, tighten the bolts to 47 nm (35 ft. Lbs.)install the mounting bolts with a torque of 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) when working on 2wd vehicles while 4wd vehicles require a torque of 47 nm (35 ft. Lbs.). Set the transmission in position before securing it to the transmission support with the two nuts using a torque setting of 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.).
