The procedure starts with unfastening the two bolts which anchor the hood primary latch to the front upper panel and disconnecting the hood primary latch release cable from the same hood primary latch before removing the latch from the vehicle. The hood primary latch release cable requires attachment to the hood primary latch before reinstalling the latch onto the vehicle by using its 2 retaining bolts but without finishing the bolt installation. Adjust the hood primary latch so its striker shaft aligns with the center groove of the latch while the hood sits evenly with the front fenders. Lower the hood after securing the bolts that retain the Hood Latch at 10 n.m torque.
