A minimal amount of soap-based solution helps during the installation process. After removing it from the location between the air cleaner cover and outlet duct you must loosen the hose clamps. The installer should position the MAF sensor with its embossed arrow aiming towards the engine for correct air flow direction. Fasten the MAF sensor between the air cleaner outlet duct and air cleaner cover while tightening the clamps to 4 N.m (35 lb in). To complete the process you must reattach the MAF sensor harness connector.
