How to replace the harmonic balancer on 2001 GMC Savana 1500?

To change the crankshaft balancer, loosen the battery negative cable, un-assemble the fan shroud assembly and drive belt and then loosen the balancer bolt and pulley. Install the balancer with the Balancer Remover and Installer in such a way that the balancer is removed properly and all the components are tightened adequately. Install back the drive belt, fan shroud and reconnect the battery.
