The first step to replace the front door check involves removing front door trim panel and front door water deflector before finally removing the door check from its position. The first step is to take out the bolts holding the check to the door jamb before removing the nuts connecting the door check to the door along with extracting the check from the door. The installation process requires you to attach the door check to the door according to the fastener notice guidance. Secure the door check using two nuts before tightening them to 11 N.m (97 lb in) and put back the bolts to lock the door check in place to the door jamb by tightening them to 11 N.m (97 lb in). Install the front door trim panel together with the front door water deflector.
