How to replace the front door check link on GMC Savana 3500?

The first step to replace the front door check begins with removing the front door trim panel together with the front door water deflector. Guidelines now follow to uninstall the door jamb bolts which connect the check to the door trim together with the door check securing nuts before beginning. The new door check installation requires following the fastener notice while connecting it to the door because the proper seat must be achieved. Fit the door check into its place then fasten the two nuts to 11 N.m (97 lb in) torque before re-installation of the bolts to establish the door check to the door jamb by using 11 N.m (97 lb in). The installation process concludes with the replacement of front door water deflector followed by installation of front door trim panel.
