Service operations on the Fuel Filler Hose of commercial/rv/cutaway vans require personnel to begin with negative Battery Cable disconnection along with fuel system pressure release. Before you detach the fuel filler tube with its clamp you need to raise your vehicle then clean the vent hose attachment on the Fuel Tank. Wipe both ends of the fuel filler tube before removing the connection at the Fuel Tank and the tube and clamp. Spend time removing both the fuel tube attaching screws along with the fuel filler tube from its position. The proper alignment of Fuel Tank filler neck clamps helps prevent any disconnection from the Fuel Tank during installation. Secure the fuel filler tube by attaching its screws to the proper torque value of 2.75 n.m (24.3 lb in). Reconnect the Fuel Filler Hose to the vent after applying its clamp then join the fuel filler tube and its associated clamp. After reinstalling the Fuel Tank filler cap users should reconnect the negative Battery Cable and look for fuel leaks.
