How to replace the fuel filler hose on a commercial, RV, or cutaway van on GMC Savana 3500?

The first step to change a Fuel Filler Hose on a commercial, rv or cutaway van is to disconnect the negative Battery Cable then relieve the fuel system pressure. A vehicle lift should be used and then the Fuel Tank vent hose connection must be wiped clean before removing the fuel filler tube and clamp. The Fuel Tank installation requires a cleaning of the fuel filler tube connection before fuel filler tube and clamp separation. Disconnect the attaching screws that hold the fuel tube before removing the fuel filler tube. To avoid Fuel Tank disconnection, install the Fuel Tank filler neck clamps with proper positioning and alignment. Secure the fuel filler tube with its attaching screws by tightening them to 2.75 n.m (24.3 lb in). You should start by uniting the fuel filler vent hose with its clamp and after that connect the fuel filler tube hose with its clamp. Reinstall the Fuel Tank filler cap while you reconnect the negative Battery Cable along with leak detection tests.
