How to replace the Lash Adjusters on 2001 GMC Savana 3500?

Start by taking out the Intake Manifold and valve push rods until you reposition all valve lifters and guides to their original positions. Start by removing the valve lifter guide retainer together with valve lifter guides followed by individual removal of valve lifters which should then be arranged in an organizer rack alongside their guides. To deal with a stuck valve lifter use the valve lifter remover (J 3049). New valve lifters and camshafts require engine oil replacement along with filter change and gm p/n 1051396 engine oil supplement addition or equivalent equivalent oil supplement to the engine oil. Replace every valve lifter during the installation of a new Camshaft. Follow this procedure to install each valve lifter followed by valve push rods before completing with the Intake Manifold replacement.
