The first step requires disconnecting the harness connector from the EVAP canister purge valves then disconnecting vacuum hoses and the purge pipe. The bracket tab should be released to separate the valves from their installation. Set the new EVAP canister purge valves on the canister bracket before attaching the pipe and vacuum hose to them. Seal the harness connector and reinstall the fuel injector sight shield as the last step.
