How to replace the power window switch on 2002 Buick Regal?

One must disconnect the Power Window Switch before proceeding because the express up/down feature enables fast window movement. Covers made from protective material should be applied at the access point for the small flat-bladed tool to protect the inner door trim panel. Use proper safety precautions before using a flat-bladed tool, awl or metal object by placing the Ignition Switch into the off position so that the switch does not become shorted. A flat-bladed instrument should help remove the power window and door lock mounting plate assembly from the trim panel through the front plate entry point and subsequent rearward pushing of the retainer. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the mounting plate while lifting it out with attached switches and remove the switch from the plate. The installation process requires the switch to go into the mounting plate followed by electrical connector connection then the mounting plate reinstallation into the trim panel.
