How to replace the power window switch on 2001 Buick Regal?

When replacing the Power Window Switch you should disconnect it within the driver door compartment before working because the express up/down function can move the window rapidly. A flat-bladed tool should remove the switch from the harness only when the Ignition Switch is off to prevent circuit shorting. Protective layers should be applied at the insertion spot of the flat surface tool to defend against damage to the interior door wall. A flat-bladed tool should be inserted into the trim panel at the front of the power window and door lock mounting plate assembly to release the retainer by pressing it backward. Extract the mounting plate which includes the switches by removing the electrical connectors before taking it out from the plate structure. Install the switch by placing it inside the mounting plate then connect the electrical connector before pressing the mounting plate into the trim panel.
