How to replace the engine oil pressure switch on 2002 Cadillac DeVille?

Start the engine oil pressure switch replacement process by lifting and supporting the vehicle. Before substitution, disconnect the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure switch which is mounted onto the oil filter adapter. Installation requires installing the engine oil pressure switch on the oil filter adapter and securing it with 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs. torque). After connecting the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch, lower the vehicle, set the engine oil to full level and inspect for oil leaks upon starting the engine.
