  A: The first step to replace the underhood fuse block involves removing the underhood fuse block cover and disconnecting the negative Battery Cable from the battery. Begin by detaching the positive Battery Cable fastener then the cable from the rear fuse block after which three retaining fasteners securing the fuse block to the fuse block harness must be removed. The fuse block base can be removed by unlocking its four retention tabs before pulling it out of its position. Reverse the fuse block for disconnecting remaining electrical connections while removing the underhood fuse block. Install the fuse block after placing the underhood fuse block base onto the body and fasten it with 9 n.m (80 lb in). Before removing the base of the underhood fuse block the technician must first evacuate and recharge the a/c system and detach the accumulator and electrical harnesses from the fuse block base. Detach the base fasteners from the vehicle body then extract the fuse block base from the vehicle. Connect electrical connectors to the fuse block base while clockwise rotation. Tighten the underhood fuse block when mounted to the base assembly with four engaged hold down clips and fasten the harness clamp screws to 6.5 n.m (58 lb in). You must first install the positive Battery Cable and fastener to the rear fuse block and tighten its fastener to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). After that, install the underhood fuse block cover and reconnect the negative Battery Cable from the battery.
