  A: The first step to replace the secondary air injection (Air) pump requires lifting the vehicle. The owner can start by removing retaining screws from in front of the left front wheel well/splash shield then drop the splash shield to see the secondary air injection (AIR) pump assembly. Lower the air outlet hose using its pinch clamp before detaching both the air inlet hose and air pump electrical connector. You must lift up then pull out the air pump from its cradle bracket after removing the upper air pump to cradle bolt. When installing the system first position cradle bracket bolts/nuts below and after that attach the upper air pump bolt to the bracket before tightening all installed bolts to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Connect the electrical connector of the air pump while finishing the installation process by attaching an air outlet hose with pinch clamp to the pump and adding the inlet hose last.
