The first step to replace A/C Accumulator involves recovering all refrigerant. You should not try to remove the nuts which will stay attached to the condenser tube. First remove the nuts from the A/C Accumulator then pull off the accumulator from the condenser tube and remove the o-rings from the same tube. Apply 525 viscosity refrigerant oil on the new o-rings before placing them onto the condenser tube. You must position the flow arrow on the A/C Accumulator in the direction of the Evaporator before attaching it to the condenser tube. Secure the accumulator using nuts on the A/C Accumulator before tightening them until they reach 15 n.m force (11 lb ft torque). The system requires full recharging after which an expert must conduct a leak test on the accumulator using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
