    A: The first requirement when replacing an A/C Accumulator includes fully recovering the refrigerant. The nuts and ferrules stay attached to the condenser tube therefore avoid trying to remove the nuts from the tube. Afterwards remove the nuts from the accumulator while extracting the accumulator from the condenser tube before taking off the o-rings from the condenser tube. O-rings for the condenser tube require oil application using 525 viscosity refrigerant oil before installing them onto the tube components. Install the accumulator onto the condenser tube following the procedure by directing its flow arrow toward the Evaporator section. Use a 15 n.m (11 lb ft) torque to fasten the nuts that attach the accumulator to its place. Recharging the system must follow a leak detection test on the accumulator connection by using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
