  A: The replacement of a heater core begins with draining part of the coolant system fluid. Start the replacement by removing the instrument panel compartment and then proceed to eliminate the right sound insulator and subsequently disconnect both the left and right air mix actuators from the HVAC Control Processor. Remove the HVAC Control Processor from its place before disconnecting the left air mix actuator combined with the right air mix actuator . Extract the heater core by removing first the heater cover followed by separating the heater hoses from the core and then using screws to uninstall the retaining components. Two screws must be used to fasten the heater core onto the heater case while torquing them to reach 2 N.m (18 lb in) tightness. Securely reconnect the heater core inlet and outlet heater hoses and mount the heater core cover and screws with 2 N.m (18 lb in) torque. The repair requires connecting the right air mix actuator and left air mix actuator with heater and HVAC control processor reinstallation. Replace the instrument panel container followed by the right insulator panel. The procedure ends with refilling the cooling system followed by air temperature door link adjustment.
