How to replace the right lash adjuster on 2002 Cadillac Eldorado?

In order to replace the right valve lifter, you should first remove the right valve Rocker Arm and the stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster (SHLA) from the bores. Clean and inspect the valve lifters. At installation, do not stroke or cycle the shla plunger until oil is present in the lower pressure chamber. Complete filling the shla with clean engine oil gm p/n 12378006 or equal, with a careful watch of the pivot sphere area of the shla in order to prevent scratching it. Then, install the new shla's into bores and then reinstallation of the right valve rocker arms to the desired height.
