How to replace the engine oil pressure switch on 2002 Cadillac Eldorado?

First, lift and support the vehicle to change the engine oil pressure sender or switch. Unplug the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure sender and detach the sender from the oil filter adapter. First, when placing new engine oil pressure sender be sure it is properly matched to the use for which it will serve and any adjoining thread locking compound, lubricants, corrosion inhibitors or sealers (if required) as these can impact torque and component functionality. Tighten the sender engine oil pressure to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs), then connect the electrical connector back to the sender. Lift up the vehicle, match the oil level in the engine to the full mark and check for the oil leakage from the engine once it has been started.
