The first step to replace the front door latch requires you to fully raise the window then remove the door trim panel. Begin by removing the water deflector followed by unconnecting all electrical connectors. You need to remove the retainer clip which connects the inside Door Handle cable with the inner door panel as well as the lock cylinder rod of the driver's door and the outside Door Handle rod with the door latch retainer clip. First twist the lock knob to the counterclockwise direction before removing the door latch by removing its fasteners which number three. When performing the procedure first connect all electrical connectors then install the door latch inside the door. Next connect the inside Door Handle cable retainer clip to its position and insert the door lock knob correctly. Use the three fasteners to attach the door latch onto the door structure while torquing them to 10 n.m (89 lb in).
