    Q:
How to replace the rear trunk latch with an interior release handle on Cadillac Seville? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start the work by opening the trunk and taking off the trunk trim panel. Forcefully push the locking tab off the trunk inner handle retainer until you can pull it out from its position on the "t" slot. Unhook the lock cylinder latch release cable from the Trunk Lock Cylinder by pressing both holding tabs to release it. Unplug the electrical wire from the Trunk Latch then separate the fasteners keeping the latch attached to the trunk. Remove both parts of the Trunk Latch system. Place the Trunk Latch onto its proper position and connect fasteners but do not tighten them over 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Join the power connections to the latch while fitting the lock cylinder release wire and hanging the interior release handle onto the trunk. Put back the trunk trim part then shut the trunk.
