  A: First raise the vehicle before beginning replacement of the secondary air injection (AIR) pump. Use a screwdriver to eliminate the screws securing the left front wheel area splash shield and subsequently position the shield downward toward the front. The air pump assembly will become accessible in this manner. Begin by opening the air outlet hose pinch clamp and lowering it until you can remove the hose from the air pump. Following this disconnect the electrical connector of the air pump. The upper air pump to cradle bolt requires removal before lifting the pump out from its bracket.
