Start by taking off the lower Intake Manifold bolts followed with removal of the lower Intake Manifold before continuing with extraction of the lower Intake Manifold seals and gaskets. When you decide to replace the manifold you must also remove the Coolant Temperature Sensor. The installation process starts by positioning the lower Intake Manifold gaskets and seals then using gm p/n 12346286 or canada p/n 10953472 sealant on the manifold seals ends. Install the lower Intake Manifold after applying threadlock gm p/n 12345382, canada p/n 10953488, or equivalent on the bolt threads. Tighten those lower Intake Manifold bolts to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the Coolant Temperature Sensor, tightening it to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.)follow these steps to install the upper Intake Manifold.
