How to replace the Lash Adjusters on 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier?

In order to change the valve lifters, one should remove the Cylinder Head, and the Cylinder Head gasket, anti rotation brackets, while preserving the hydraulic valve lifters for reassembling in their respective positions for reinstallation. Next, remove the valve lifters. While installing new valve lifters, apply camshaft assembly lube (GM P/N 1052365) or equivalent, and install valve lifters to the lifter bore while the flat sides of valve lifter should face the flat sides of anti-rotation bracket and the roller in the bottom ends of all valve lifters should face the camshaft lobe parallel to itself. Mount the anti-rotation brackets on the valve lifters and tighten them with the anti-rotation bracket bolts to 11 nm (97 inch lbs.). Lastly, install the Cylinder Head gasket and Cylinder Head.
