To replace the lash adjusters, first you should remove the valve
Rocker Arm cover then you locate the rocker valve arm nut and you loosen the nut and you move the rocker valve arm out. Next, pull out the Pushrod and the engine lift bracket on the rear side of the engine, then going further down, channeling the
Spark Plug Wires underneath the lower
Intake Manifold. Disassemble the Cylinder Head and Cylinder Head gasket, and the removal of anti-rotation bracket. It is necessitated to maintain the hydraulic lash adjusters for re-fitting back into their fittings as they do not need adjustment. Go ahead and take off the lash adjusters. Coat the new lash adjusters with camshaft assembly lube (GM P/N 1052365) or equivalent, and install them onto the lifter bores, positioning the flat sides of the adjusters flush to the flat side of the anti-rotation brackets and the rollers parallel to the lobe of the camshaft. Install the anti-rotation brackets on the lash adjusters and tighten on screws encourage 11 nm (97 inch lbs.). Next, fit the Cylinder Head gasket and the Cylinder Head, the lift bracket, and its nut with a torque of 50nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Route up the Spark Plug Wires through the lower Intake Manifold, replace the pushrods making sure they sit in the Lash Adjuster, fit the rocker arms then bolt Rocker Arm bolts, tighten nuts to 25 nm (19 ft. Lbs.). Last of all, install the valve Rocker Arm cover.
