  A: You can start working on valve stem oil seals when you eliminate the valve Rocker Arm cover first. Pull the spark plugs only when the engine temperature has dropped to protect against damaged threads or cylinder head. Place the Spark Plug apart while you gather all valve train pieces before you start. Take off the Rocker Arm and Pushrod from the engine cylinder you will repair. Insert the Spark Plug port adapter (J 23590) in the Spark Plug port to keep valves open before pressing air through them. Put the valve spring compressor (J 5892-D) onto the valve spring to compress it while also taking both valve locks and the cap off. Remove the valve spring compressor (J 5892-D) handle and take away the valve spring beside the spring seat oil seal. Begin setting the new Valve Stem Oil Seal onto the spring seat before installing it onto the assembly. Place the valve parts in their setup before using the valve spring compressor (J 5892-D) to squeeze the valve spring downward. Verify the valve locks rest firmly in their position at the top of the valve stem while you remove the compressor tool. Use grease as needed to support the valve locks while you end the operation. Put valve locks into position and slowly take off the valve spring compressor (J 5892-D) tool before taking out the Spark Plug port adapter (J 23590). Set the Spark Plug into place before tightening it to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.) while adding the Rocker Arm and Pushrod components before placing back the valve Rocker Arm cover.
