How to replace the front parking brake cable on 2002 Chevrolet Express 2500?

The first step to replace the front parking brake cable should start with completing lever pin up and loosening the cable at the adjuster. Detach the front cable from the rear cables before you uninstall both the release handle and the cable from the vehicle. The front cable must be disconnected first from the lever and the lever retainer before removing the rubber grommet through the cowl with the front cable. During installation position the front cable through the vehicle before putting force into the rubber grommet to set it into the cowl.
