How to replace the Power Steering Hose Inlet on 2002 Chevrolet Express 2500?

The replacement process of the power steering gear inlet hose requires you to start with a drain pan under the vehicle followed by siphoning power steering fluid from the reservoir to minimize accidental spills. The replacement process begins with hose removal from steering pump to power steering inlet and from steering gear to steering gear inlet before moving the hose out of the vehicle. Set up the hose using exactly the same path that was used before clearing it out so you can achieve smooth transport while staying clear of kinks and bends. The installation of steering gear inlet hose to steering gear requires 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.) of torque followed by power steering inlet hose attachment to steering pump using the same torque value. When the installation is complete you must check the power steering fluid level followed by drain pan removal from under the vehicle before performing a power steering system bleeding operation.
