How to service and repair the A/C Switch control assembly on 2002 Chevrolet Malibu?

In order to service and repair the control assembly, lossen the IP accessory trim plate and HVAC control assembly screws. Disconnect vacuum hose harness connector and temperature actuator connector, blower motor switch connector and rear defroster control connector. Reassemble these parts, and fit in the control assembly, retaining the screws, and then reassemble the trim plate.
