How to replace the side Motor and Transmission Mount on 2002 Chevrolet Malibu?

The procedure starts by supporting and lifting the vehicle before commencing with transmission mount replacement on the side. Start the process by taking out the left front wheel with attached tire after you remove the left front splash shield. Place a jackstand along with a block of wood underneath the transaxle to support it. Begin by removing the transmission mount thru-bolt then unfasten the rear upper mount bolt while maintaining its position before extracting the other three mount bolts to remove the mount. Position the rear upper mount on its new location before beginning to start the rear upper bolt into the threaded area. Finish installing the mount bolts one by one while making sure all four bolts get tightened to 66 nm (49 ft. Lbs.). Set the mount thru bolt in place then tighten it using a torque of 55 nm (41 ft. Lbs.). Use a jackstand to lower the vehicle before you install the left splash shield and left tire along with wheel assembly to complete the repair.
