Begin by raising and supporting the vehicle to replace a Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). Start by disconnecting the electrical connector from the vehicle speed sensor then remove the retaining stud and sensor by pulling it straight out without harming the case. The cleaning process must be applied to the speed sensor followed by installation of retaining bolt and sensor tightness based on 12 Nm (97 inch lbs.). After reconnecting the sensor's electrical connector and removing safety stands the vehicle can be lowered to the ground.
