The wire harness straps need detachment from the Steering Wheel column wire harness before removing its retaining ring. First remove the air bag clock spring from the Steering Shaft. Install the new air bag clock spring on the Steering Shaft by using the retaining ring for securement. After coil centering the worker must direct lower coil wire harnesses through steering column jackets and reposition wire harness straps to steering column wire harnesses. Reinstall the Steering Wheel after which both the upper and lower shrouds go back and finally reassemble the air bag clock spring. Finally, enable the sir system.
