2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the fuel pressure sensor on 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?
A: The first step to replace the fuel tank pressure sensor requires you to disconnect the negative Battery Cable. Start by removing the spare tire cover together with jack and spare tire then proceed with the trunk liner. Begin by unfastening the 7 access panel retaining nuts that secure the fuel sender panel before removing the panel. The electrical connection from the fuel tank vapor pressure sensor needs removal before extracting the sensor from the modular fuel sender assembly. To integrate the new fuel tank vapor pressure sensor place it on the modular fuel sender followed by connector attachment. The fuel sender access panel should be installed following the fastener notice for correct protocol while using the 7 nuts to fasten it at 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque setting. Replace the trunk liner after reinstalling the spare tire with its cover as well as the jack and reconnect the negative Battery Cable.
