How to replace the rear axle upper control arm on 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe?

The first step to replace the Rear Axle Upper Control Arm involves lifting the vehicle properly for support. If your vehicle is equipped with RTD sensors disconnect them first. To replace the upper control arm begin by removing the retaining nuts from the brackets on both the control arm frame and axle then take out the control arm itself. Place the upper control arm into position and fasten it through axle bracket bolts and nuts before completing with the frame bracket bolt. The suspension must reach the curb height position before tightening any nuts during installation. Secure the upper control arm retaining nut then torque the retaining bolts to 105 Nm (77 ft. lbs.). Close the RTD sensor if it exists and lower the vehicle.
