  A: The replacement of Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) requires the complete brake pressure modulator valve assembly to ensure safety since all screws need to remain tight to preserve leak resistance in brake circuits and safeguard from personal harm. First turn the ignition switch to OFF and remove the Connector Position Assurance from its connector. First depress the lock tab while sliding the connector cover to open position before disconnecting the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) harness connector. Protect all painted surfaces by covering them when brake fluid drips and mark the locations of all brake pipes for reinstallation. Set the wheel cylinder brake pipes aside from the BPMV by relocating them gently and covering their exposed areas to prevent fluid pouring or contamination.
