How to service the EGR valve on 2002 Chevrolet Venture?

Starting the repair of the EGR Valve requires you to disable ignition while also unplugging the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve electrical connector. The service of the EGR Valve begins with the transaxle fluid filler tube removal along with the bolt retention of the pipe assembly at the EGR Valve while carefully pulling the assembly backward. Start by removing bolts from the EGR Valve assembly and the EGR Valve occupying position and complete the removal by dislodging the gasket. The EGR Valve mating surface requires cleaning before installing both a new gasket with the EGR Valve onto the Intake Manifold. Add the bolts to the EGR Valve before tightening them to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Install the pipe assembly on the EGR Valve while tightening its bolt to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). After placing back the transaxle fluid filler tube you must connect the EGR Valve electrical connector.
