How to service the EGR valve on 2003 Chevrolet Venture?

Service of the EGR Valve starts by turning the ignition off and disconnecting the EGR Valve electrical connector at the exhaust gas recirculation system. The service begins by taking out the bolt retaining the pipe assembly from the EGR Valve while you remove the transaxle fluid filler tube. Caution must be taken when pulling the pipe assembly back. The procedure starts with removing EGR Valve retaining bolts and proceeding to remove the EGR Valve assembly and gasket. Before putting the new gasket and EGR Valve onto the Intake Manifold begin cleaning the surface where they will mate. Apply the bolts into the EGR Valve before torquing them to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Reuse the EGR Valve pipe assembly to fasten it with the EGR Valve using the bolt which requires a torque setting of 25 n.m (18 lb ft). The EGR Valve electrical connector needs to be restored while also installing the transaxle fluid filler tube.
