  A: A technician must start replacement work by undoing the valve Rocker Arm covers before they remove the valve Rocker Arm together with push rods from their position. First remove the Rocker Arm bolt(s) and then achieve the removal of valve Rocker Arm(s) and Pushrod(s). Pre-installing treatment requires push rod terminations to get a coating from prelube (GM P/N 1052365 or equivalent). Both the intake valve push rod features an original length of 14 mm (5.75 inches) (yellow) while the exhaust valve push rod has an original length of 152.5 mm (6.0 inches) (green); keep both rods in their initial placement position. Apply prelube lubricant onto the areas where the rocker arms make contact with surface friction (GM P/N 12345501 and GM P/N 8862586 or Canadian P/N 992704 and Canadian P/N 8862586 and equivalent alternatives). Install the valve rocker arms along with their respective bolts subsequently cover the valve Rocker Arm elements.
